2007 Kirkin' o' the Tartans in Montreat & its history
In Montreat, the annual Kirkin o' the Tartans involves about a 100 tartan banners and clan representatives.  Each year, the MSS invites a distinguished minister to deliver the sermon at this worship, which attracts more than 1,000 people.
The Montreat Scottish Society Pipes & Drums band provides music both in a Pipin' on the Green (10:15 a.m.) and during the worship service (11 a.m.).
The Rev. Jim Simpson will be the guest 2007 Kirkin' preacher. He is a native of Scotland and Senior Pastor of Northminster Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in Roswell, GA.

The 2006 Kirkin' o' the Tartan (click for photo album) was held on May 28, 2006, at Anderson Auditorium, Montreat, NC.
